OUr workshop changes lives

 aWe use our workshop space to positively impact the lives of people aged 14-16, as well as adults.  We teach people to repair, recycle, learn and socialise in a safe and welcoming environment.  See below the great work we do.

Activities at our workshop

Education
Bikespace works with Schools across Plymouth and the South West training twenty one young people each week. These trainees are usually disengaged from mainstream education.
Repair
We offer a full range of servicing and repair to members of the public and large organisations alike. All of our mechanics are trained to CYTECH level 2 and we provide...
Recycling
Bikespace is committed to promoting the use of Sustainable Transport within the community. Once they have completed their initial training the pupils at Bikespace move on.

Cycle maintenance courses

A limited number of basic maintenance courses are now available from Bikespace.
​
These courses would normally cost £125 but we're able to offer them free of charge thanks to our successful bid to the DfT's Access Fund supporting the Plymotion programme.

Open workshop evenings

Look after your bike at one of our free open workshop evenings where we have:
  • mechanics on hand for advice
  • work stands and benches
  • specialist tools
  • parts available to buy
Workshops run between 6pm and 9pm on the first Wednesday of every month. It's a great chance to meet other cyclists and keep your bike tip top. You do need to book, please visit the 'Open Workshop' page at the top for more details or click here.
