From teaching to inspiring
Bikespace was set up in 2010 to help young people who struggle with mainstream education.
Since then we have helped over xxxx young people and each young person receives xx our of professional support. We aim to engage and motivate young people struggling with mainstream education. We train them as Bicycle Mechanics and give them the opportunity to get out on Mountain Bike Adventures. The pupils develop transferable skills which will enable them to succeed in the workplace. Our Vision: To engage and motivate young people with the long term aim of equipping them with the necessary life skills to be successful in the workplace. Increase Young People’s sense of social responsibility within their local community. Encourage Young People to live and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. |
I like going to Bikespace because I am good at practical things. I find normal School subjects difficult to understand but I can take a bike apart and rebuild it so it is as good as new. I am in year 11 so when I finish School I would like to do public services at College so I can join the Army or to work at Bikespace. |
